Hi Noah and Jason,

First of all I wanted to say I love your podcast. I listen to the show every week and I really like it. There just a little thing that you really, really, reeeeeeeally have to do to make it better and that is to apply compression on your voices. I literally had to stop listening to the show the other day because I felt my ears were in danger (I’m an audio engineer so might be a little more sensitive than other about audio dynamics). So i just wanted to give you a little tip so make this better, its really simple…

There’s a little program called “Levelator” from The conversation network. It works on mac and windows and it will take care of the dynamics of you voice track. Simply drag and drop your voice track in wave of aiff on the levelator window and it will create a new file ready to go!

I hope this helps you make the podcast even better than it is right now…

I thought you made some good points in regard to the iPad this week.

Congrats on the baby, I have a one year old boy… so I was especially interested in you piece on the livestreaming package you use at home and wrote about in a recent email.

Question: Do you think, as Apple mentioned, that the iPad will really lead to an entirely new gold rush for app developers? If so how are you (and Mahalo) upgrading and getting more into the game?

For TWiTTWit, what advice would you have on finding sponsors to help it survive too?

1. Thanks so much! We really appreciate all the support you’ve given us.

2. That makes sense. It also ties into the conversation you had with Leo about advertisers taking the leap to buy time on podcasts. Thanks for clearing that up. I’ll write up a blog post about it in case anyone else is interested.

1. Will do a TWiTTWit plug next time.
2. WRT to Audible, I’m a super fan… and I think the Audible commercial has now turned into a sort of running joke. People wait for it and when it happens folks take three drinks according to the TWIT drinking game! I really love TWIT and I know that if the sponsors didn’t sponsor the show it wouldn’t occur every week…. we need to support the supporters.

Sounds like you guy only listened to the “edited” version. He had some other guy from Ford, that he was trying to get to talk about automotive electronics. But the guy wouldn’t budge from talking about Ford. After the recording of TWiT, Leo told his editing guys to cut the Ford guy out of the program because it seem too much like a ad for Ford. FYI todays TWiT, Leo said Ford is no longer a sponsor.
